Websites for contractors — painting, remodeling, insulation and home repair.

Homeowners check your work, your area and your credentials before they ever call. We build contractor websites that answer all three and put the estimate form front and center.

What your customers do

How homeowners pick a contractor

A homeowner with a peeling deck or a hot attic usually starts on their phone, and they're looking for reasons to trust you before they hand over their address.

What they type

  • painters near me
  • house painting [town]
  • attic insulation contractor
  • bathroom remodel near me
  • handyman near me
  1. 01

    They search locally

"Painters near me" or the job plus their town. The map results and the first few sites get most of the attention.

  2. 02

    They look at finished jobs

Photos of real projects, ideally before and after, do more convincing than any paragraph about quality.

  3. 03

    They check you're legit

Licensing, insurance, how long you've been working and whether you actually serve their town.

  4. 04

    They ask for an estimate

Often from two or three companies at once. The one that makes it easy, and answers first, tends to get the visit.

What's on the site

What a contractor website needs

Four pieces do most of the work. Every contractor site we build starts from these, then fits your trade.

A free-estimate form

Job type, address, photos and a good time to call, sent straight to your inbox and your client portal. Short enough to fill in from a driveway.

Before-and-after gallery

Your real projects, before and after, organized by job type so a homeowner can see work like theirs.

Service-area pages

A real page for each town or county you work in, with the jobs you've done there.

Licensing & insurance, up front

License numbers, insurance, warranties and how estimates work, stated clearly where people look for them. It answers the question every homeowner has before they let you in the door.

Every site also includes mobile-first design, Google Business Profile setup, SSL and backups. See everything in a business website.

Live work

A live contractor site, and two demo builds

REDLINE is a real client: a firefighter-owned painting and home-repair company in Alabama. The two insulation sites are demos SDP built to show two directions for the same kind of business.

Getting found

How contractors get found on Google

Most local jobs start with a map search. These are the things that move the needle, in the order we'd tackle them.

01

Google Business Profile

Pick the right primary category, set your service area instead of showing a home address, add real job photos and keep your hours current. It's free and it feeds the map results.

02

Reviews, asked for every time

Ask every happy customer, right after the job, with a direct link. Reply to every review, good or bad. A steady trickle beats a burst.

03

Pages for real services and towns

A page per service (painting, drywall, insulation) and per area you actually work, each with real projects. Thin copies of the same page with the town name swapped don't help.

04

Fast on a phone

Homeowners search from their phones. Compressed photos and a lean build keep a gallery-heavy site quick on mobile data.

No one can promise you the top spot. What we can do is build the site right, set up your Google Business Profile basics and submit the site to Google at launch. The reviews and photos you keep adding do the rest over time.

FAQ

Questions from contractors and home service businesses

Straight answers to what people usually ask. Tap a question to open it.

What should a contractor website include?

At minimum: your services, photos of real jobs (before-and-after where you can), the towns you serve, your licensing and insurance, and an easy way to request an estimate. Those are the things homeowners check before they call.

Should I list every town I serve?

List them, yes. Build separate pages only for the areas where you have real work to show and something useful to say. A page per town with the same text and a different name rarely helps and can look spammy to Google.

Can the estimate form take photos?

It can. We can add a photo upload so a homeowner can show you the job up front, which often saves a trip. Every request arrives as an email and in your client portal.

I don't have many project photos. Is that a problem?

It's common. We can launch with what you have and add jobs as you finish them; small content changes are included with the $49/month plan. Real photos from your phone beat stock photos every time.

Do I need a website if I already get work from referrals?

Referrals still look you up. A website is where they confirm you're real, see your work and find your number, and it keeps working for the people who don't know anyone to ask.
